Notification channels explained

CrewCall reaches you through four channels. You control which on Account → Notification Preferences.

Email

Always available. Works for every notification type. Good for detail-heavy content like offer details or event updates.

SMS

Requires explicit consent and a verified phone number (see Opting in to SMS and Verifying your phone). Best for time-sensitive alerts — shift offers, last-minute cancellations, reminders.

Push

Browser and mobile notifications if you've granted permission on a device. Good for in-the-moment alerts when you've got the app open.

In-app

The bell icon at the top-right. Always on — even if you disable every other channel, in-app notifications still appear here.

Per-event-type control

Each channel has sub-toggles: you can keep email on for offers but off for marketing, SMS on for reminders but off for updates, and so on.

Quiet hours

Set a nightly quiet-hours window and CrewCall will skip SMS during it. Email and push aren't affected. See Quiet hours.
