Opting in to SMS

Updated April 21, 2026

CrewCall uses SMS for time-sensitive messages like shift offers, call-time changes, and reminders. Because SMS is regulated (the A2P 10DLC rules and TCPA), opting in involves a short confirmation.

How to opt in

  1. Go to Account → Notification Preferences.
  2. Make sure your phone number is set on your profile.
  3. Click Verify next to your phone number and enter the 6-digit code we text you. See Verifying your phone.
  4. Tick the SMS consent checkbox. The consent text you're agreeing to is displayed right there — it covers message types, frequency, and how to opt out.
  5. Turn on Enable SMS notifications and save.

What we record

Every opt-in creates an audit record with the timestamp, IP address, the exact disclosure text you saw, and its version. This is required by Twilio for A2P 10DLC compliance.

What SMS you'll get

  • Shift offers (with an accept/decline link)
  • Shift reminders (24 hours before by default; configurable)
  • Changes to shifts you're assigned to
  • Cancellations
  • STOP/HELP confirmation replies

We never send marketing or promotional SMS.

Changing your mind

Two ways: reply STOP to any message (instant), or turn off SMS on your preferences page. See STOP, START, HELP keywords.
