Verifying your phone number

Before you can opt into SMS, you need to prove you control the phone number on your profile. Verification uses Twilio Verify — a one-time code sent over SMS.

How to verify

  1. On Account → Notification Preferences or the worker profile page, enter your phone number.
  2. Click Send code. A 6-digit code is texted to that number within a few seconds.
  3. Enter the code and click Verify.

You'll see a green ✓ Verified badge next to your number when you're done.

Troubleshooting

  • Code didn't arrive — double-check the number. If you're on a US carrier, make sure the area code is right. International numbers work if your organization's Twilio config supports them.
  • Code expired — codes are valid for 10 minutes. Click Send code again for a new one.
  • Too many attempts — for your safety, we rate-limit verification attempts. If you've tried too many codes, wait 10 minutes and try again.

Changing your number

Verification is tied to the specific number you verified. If you change your phone number, you'll need to re-verify. See Changing your phone number.
