Changing your phone number in CrewCall cascades through a few places automatically to keep your notifications clean.
How to change it
Update your phone number on My Profile (workers) or Account → Profile (members). Save.
What happens behind the scenes
- Your previous verification is cleared.
- Your existing SMS opt-in is revoked automatically — we record a
user_requestopt-out for the old number in your consent history. - SMS notifications are disabled on your account.
What you need to do
To get SMS back:
- Verify the new number (Send code → enter the code).
- Tick the SMS consent box on the preferences page.
- Enable SMS.
A fresh opt-in record is created for the new number, with the current disclosure text.
Why so much ceremony?
Numbers get recycled by carriers, and we don't want CrewCall to keep texting a number that has changed hands. Re-verification confirms you (not whoever had the number last) are the current owner.
