Responding to shift offers

Updated April 21, 2026

When a scheduler sends you a shift offer, you'll receive a notification on every channel you've enabled (email, SMS, push, in-app).

Accepting an offer

Click Accept in the email, or tap the accept link in the SMS. You'll land on a confirmation page that shows the full event details, call time, and venue address. If the scheduler offered the same position to multiple workers, whoever accepts first gets the shift.

Declining an offer

Click Decline and optionally add a reason. Your reason is shared with the scheduler, not with other workers.

Changing your mind

Once you've accepted, the shift is yours. If something comes up, go to My Assignments, find the shift, and click Cancel. The scheduler is notified immediately — by SMS if they have it on — so they can backfill the position.

Cancelling a confirmed shift close to the event can affect your reliability score with that organization. If you have a recurring conflict, updating your availability is always better than cancelling at the last minute.
