Using event templates

Event templates capture the recurring shape of your shows — positions, default pay rates, call times, equipment list — so a new event spins up in under a minute.

Creating a template

Two ways:

  1. Events → Templates → New — build one from scratch.
  2. On any existing event, Save as Template. The positions, equipment, and document list carry over. Venue, date, and time don't (they're event-specific).

Using a template

Events → New Event → Use Template, pick the template, then just fill in the venue, date, and times. Positions are pre-populated.

When to use one

  • Weekly tapings of the same show
  • Corporate clients with a standard package
  • Repeating sports broadcasts or concert series
  • Any event shape you run more than twice

Editing a template

Changes to a template don't retroactively change events already created from it. Edit the live event directly if you need to.
